not as good as Snow Goose but I think they're pretty close too, there are like 3 or 4 songs in here that are actually classic

The opener is probably the best track for me

The commercial turn for the band. The thing that bothers me the most about this release is that it's not telling me much emotionally. The whole thing is just watered-down Camel and it just doesn't have any "nerve" emotionally, so to speak. The sung tracks are relatively well-written although not tremendously catchy, but the instrumentals are a fuckin' bore. Pleasant, of course, but only useful as background music. Such a shame.

Unevensong is a top 10 Camel track, but the rest of the album can't keep up with that.

I recommend to check the remastered editions of A Live Record to hear some great takes (more organic sound and some added sax too) of a few songs off this, like Unevensong and Metrognome. The orchestral-sounding Rain Dances is also placed as an interesting "epilogue" to Lunar Sea
(the original edition of that album is way shorter)

First dedicated visits; Nice duo openers "First Light/Metrognome", "Unevensong", this one i do like the prog style on it, followed by a beautiful jazz "One Of....", duo of closers are cool.
As a whole good, but not connecting with me like the 4 previous ones.
