I don't understand how this isn't getting more attention
This is also one of the oldest metal albums I've check out. Most of the time I just try and stick to new stuff cause even when I hear something from the late 80's, early 90's that awesome, it just doesn't sound right. Probably because of the whole loudness and track increase thing over-saturating my senses to the point where older metal sounds like a tin can...
This, however, sounds like a gigantic steel drum being whacked by an army of angry blasphemers in the seventh circle of hell.

YES
|
| |
hey i remember this
|
| |
old metal is way better than new metal as far as i'm concerned
there are only a few new bands that i can really enjoy......but as far as old metal goes, you have the late 80's thrash metal scene, the early death metal scene, it's so good
|
| |
thats really interesting

I'm gonna get this soon. Awesome review.

HOLY LOL THE VOCALS
|
| |
i downloaded this and so far it has been a total letdown, especially the first track...
definitely not what i was expecting at all
|
| |
Everything sounds muted.
|
| |
i don't mind the production at all, i like muddy production........like autopsy - mental funeral is one of my favorite death metal albums of all time

Dunno what you guys are listening to, the instrumentation on this is superb, the vocals are grim and it's a very unique sound amongst shitloads of bad death metal that was around at the time.
|
| |
i'd rather listen to autopsy
