Damn, I can listen all day to the choruses of Lost In The Twilight Hall and The Last Candle.

You know an album will rule when the tracklist has a track called Tommyknockers.

Yes! So thrashy and so damn catchy at the same time.

Highlights-wise I still prefer the debut, but as a complete listen now they're getting better and better. Great use of backing/gang vocals too. Also the bonus cover of To France is awesome.

On a side note, is it me or DragonForce took inspiration from Altair 4 for the opening of Through The Fire And Flames? I'm talking of the short piece (2 seconds) about 30 seconds in, in Altair 4.

I'm not familiar with DragonForce at all so I can't say but I'll take your word for it haha.

The cover of To France is indeed great. If you happen to check The Forgotten Tales at some point, you'll find a few good other covers as well. And yes, as a whole this sounds better. Give it some time and it will grow on you even more.

Oh I will definitely listen to again but I think I'm safe with this rating, 4.5 is roughly a 'false 5' to me.

This is my second favorite album of theirs, ending songs are ridiculously good.

My personal picks are Tommyknockers, Traveler in Time and Goodbye My Friend. To France too if it counts. Oh and nice dig Acanthus!

I like Altair 4 the best, haven't been in a BG mood for a bit though I need to go pick up their latest album to add to the collection.

Thanks, I really love Delta Machine!

Listen to this throughout the weekend. Holy shit the instrumentalization (especially the guitar work) on this record is fucking godlike. These guys are in the power metal elite for a good reason.
