Sad... & very scary. Seeing & reading reports about how fast the fires were moving was surreal. The world has gone crazy... As if you see the news about what is happening up in North Queensland, it's totally the opposite. They had 30mm (just over an inch) of rain in just 1 hour yesterday. We haven't had that much rain over the past month!

It's weird how you guys are getting raped by the heatwave, we had a very long one which ended over a week ago, but it got up to 42 once and was generally just in the high 30s. Normally we're the ones drying up over here.

Goddamn it, it's not in the 40's today where I am but it feels like it, the humidity is hideous. I could barely breathe outside.

And I was shocked at how many people they're estimating to have died in Victoria. O.o You rarely get that sort of casuality in Australia.

Quite frankly, I didn't read the review, at all, yet. But good job reeling me in with that sexy summary at top. Enough for me to acquire blind. Once I have the songs safely uploaded onto my computer, I will come abck and read this review.

Yeah today is great. We have had some basic rain on and off, and it's been around 24 all day.

It has been weird Rasputin. And we ain't got no "Doctor" to save us come the afternoon/evening every day either! Some of the nights we have had over the past fortnight have been horrendous.

Looks like the death toll will unfortunately get up to 50. And as much as it's cool & there are showers around today, there are still fires burning.

BALLS, thanks for the positive feedback on the summary. I often get criticized on those because they are apparently too generic. Well, I'd hate to be informative around here and it's good to see some people prefer that. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on 'Universes'.

I seriously need to write my third review for W.A.S.P's Crimson Idol. It's a great album and nobody has done one yet.
But I'm far too lazy

Croc, after what you've been through over the last few days, I think we can forgive you mate. But once the weather cools down good & proper, there will be no excuse for laziness! ;-)

mmm it sucks, we went through the same thing at our farm a couple of years ago, burnt half the paddocks.

Just quietly, if it was arsonists, the death penalty should be brought back in.

Not really, death is too good for people like that. Wasting their life in jail is far more effective in my books. Death is an easy way out.

It's pretty sickening that's for sure (although it sounds like only 1 or 2 may have been deliberately started). It really is hard to justify people doing that. But the thing is, when/if they do find whoever is responsible, chances are that they will be teenagers. And we all know the law when it comes to people under 18 years of age; very forgivable.

Actually, your semi-comment towards laziness has reminded me of something Tom. A few months back, I was listening to an album a lot & was half-way through writing the review. Then all of a sudden, I stopped because some guy put up his review on Sputnik pretty much a day before I was going to! Captain SomeoneOrOther was his name... He has gone on to write a grand total of 1 subsequent review I think! LOL! Anyway, I must take another look at that draft of the Editors review(s) I had.

I vaguely remember saying on one of your reviews that we (england) would win the ashes this year. On current evidance I wish to refute those claims.

And also, can we trade weather for one day, I'm sure it would be to the benefit of everyone.

Silhouetic rocks. I saw that 2 song video on youtube that had it in, and I thought it was really good.

Hahahahaha Ross. I now take the comment back too. I actually did a double-take when the 2nd innings score came up on the screen. I thought they'd done a typo. I mean, if it was against a half-decent team, it might happen, but the West Indies aren't exactly menacing anymore (even if the pitch looked a little suspect).

As for switching weather for a day, trust me that you wouldn't have wanted that day to be this past Saturday. Many towns were wiped out with fire & the death toll is up to about 110 now!

Spamue1, 'Silhouettic' indeed rocks... & it's catchy!

Ture. It's nuts, and no end in sight!
We're having band practice today and wanna write a song about all this stuff, but it's either too soon, or we couldn't possibly attempt to do all this horror any justice.

Somehow I can't get into this album. It's too shallow or whatever. Could it just sound a bit too generic to me.? Absolutely nothing compared to Karnivool.

Yeah, don't get complacent Croc. Even with this cooler weather, the fires are still blazing. I wouldn't quite write a song about it just yet, that's for sure.

ShatteredSoul, I definitely think that those who are migrating across from the proggier Karnivool could definitely find this a touch generic. But I can assure you that if you think this is generic, then there are other bands out there that would put you to sleep 1 second into a song. It's all relative I guess and depends what you are comparing them to. As difficult as I found it, I tried to write this review without the Karnivool comparison.
