This is clearly power metal, the only difference between this and your typical power metal band is that this has harsh vocals. It's laughable if you actually think that this is some sort of fusion of genres.
Yeah, power metal is totally known for its blastbeats and tremolo picking.
I really don't know how you think the melody in Sleeping Stars sounds anything like the riff in Beyond the Dark Sun. I think someone needs to take a q-tip to their ears. I would also love to hear you name a band that sounds like Wintersun. And no Ensiferum does not sound that similar to Wintersun.

Unnecessary, biased commentary here. But on the whole, not a terrible review, though I definitely disagree about "forgettable melodies" and "cringe-worthy hooks."

Yeah I lol'd at how he basically just took potshots at people that enjoy this album throughout the entire review even though this album is very well received by most. I'm wondering what he'd put for an album that takes more than 10 listens to "click".
