Re: Living Colour, I'll be reviewing their other albums as the week progresses. Most of them have live bonus tracks and you should hear some of these songs live. I don't think I've heard a group have a better strike rate of improving songs when played live. Of course, 'Cult' is not one of those since I doubt it can be improved on!

I totally agree Kane. I remember when you first mentioned that it was a misrepresentation, I went and had a look expecting metal to maybe be 30%... But it was something like 50%... I can only presume you got sucked in to the metal heavy reviews & discussion on the site.

hey davey i haven't been on sputnik a lot lately and it seems i've missed your century! nice review as usual.

the only thing i've heard off this is cult of personality and i suppose it was quite good, although i never felt compelled to investigate further. neverless, this album's on the list.

Hey Jim. Thanks for the "nice review" comment. Although describing 'Cult Of Personality' as "quite good" is massively under-rating it in my humble opinion.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, is a little hesitant to just get this LP, I might recommend what I did with House Of Pain, and that's to check out their 'Best Of...'. I think Living Colour have 2 or 3 out, so one of them should be easy enough to find. The one I own is called 'Pride'.

Ross, will you forgive me if I have a chuckle? Ummm, your pie-chart is almost as ridiculous as Kane's was. In fact, I'd even say moreso since I didn't even think you were a huge metal fan. I was expecting you to be Indie/Indie Pop/Alt & Indie heavy if anything. Another one to be dragged in by the Sputnik metal masses.

Yeah I know right? I used to be a pretty big metalhead, and it was about the time I joined this site that I started getting into indie more, to the extent that now I probably prefer it over metal. I guess the fact that a lot of the music I own is metal is why my pie chart is like it is.

Oh as for Cult of Personality being "quite good". I can only laugh.
