Good review. Although, I'm kind of miffed as to why you didn't mention "Better," which many (myself included) think is the best track on the album.

Oh and as to the comment about being "dated": I, for one, think its pretty hard to sound dated when you took influence from every fad in rock over the past decade and a half. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it really blends the time period well and yet still stands as an original and engaging listen.

Some of the tracks are duds but, on the whole, I think it was a very good effort from Axl and look forward to the rest of the "trilogy."

I actually like the single I heard the other day...dunno what it was. It was a little generic hard rock though.

This album is ok. I don't see how people are giving this a 4 and 4.5.

Album is a 3 for me right now. But I see the rating going up soon.

This is one of those albums that needs repeated listens for everything to soak in.

A lot of this album sounds like a Buckethead album with Axl Rose singing on it. The more I listen to it I think this...

This record is the proof that music is personal.
Because Chinese Democracy has been part of your life. Because you know it's out now for the haters to hate, and the new lovers to love. But you don't care. Music is something that you only can understand, and Chinese Democracy is here to proove it, you do not explain it.

There is an interesting video clip for the song chinese democracy here:

and for the song madagascar here:

Axl is gone now, he left, and CD is ours.

thank you axl,
