Looks like you reviewed the shitty one. Original Concept Recording only plz. Seriously though, be clear what you're reviewing. Is this the movie soundtrack? The original concept (nope)? A cast recording? Who's performing on this? Ted Neely? Ian Gillian? This Message Edited On 11.19.08

That is what I was confused about Cocaine: the who is the singer part. It would be nice to know too because both singers are different.

Love musicals...love Jesus...love this...nice review...yeah...

andrew lloyd webber gets less awesome each time you perform joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat without resorting to shooting heroin
I just want to say this because it's a thought I've always had and never actually expressed: Dude's coat was fucking tacky.

To be honest, I don't really know the answer to your question. It was just a copy of the soundtrack I got from my drama teacher a few months ago because we were going to do the play (whichc didn't end up happening). Anyways, I through it on my ipod and on my ipod it just says "Jesus Christ Superstar, Jesus Christ superstar".
Next time I see her I'll ask what version it is and then do the necessary editting.

is the album really that picture?
|
| |
Could be...depending on the version there are like at least 5 different covers...
|
| |
thats a really famous Jesus painting i severely doubt its the actual album cover unless they wanted to be pretentious and lazy.
|
| |
I don't really think it is either...I think Mr. Barr is the one being lazy on this one...
|
| |
yeah pretty much.

Glad to see that someone finally reviewed it. :P
It's already been reviewed. Look under "Andrew Lloyd Webber" and you'll find the original listing for this musical. This Message Edited On 11.20.08

Couldn't hurt to dust it off and review it again, though

Fair enough. Legit album cover is up, I still have to talk to my drama teacher and find out which specific version it was, though.

Well it's not the original concept recording (ie: the best one) because there's 26 tracks instead of 23. I believe you reviewed the film's OST, with Ted Neeley. Based on the tracklisting that'd make sense at least. And if that is the case (pretty sure it is), this is the correct album art: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2c/Jesus_Christ_Superstar_Soundtrack.jpg

Much appreciation for going and gettnig that pic, but that's not it. I had the CD at my house for a few days and I distinctly remember the album cover. I just never bothered to see who's version it was. The only reason I had was I had never heard the songs before and I needed to audition Heaven On Their Minds and Gethsemane.

My friend put this album from the library CD shelf into my backpack. The first album I've ever stole...

Somehow got this album when trying to download Plastique by Sole & the Skyrider Band. It never occurred to me that it could be someone else until I got a solo album by Sole and realized that there was no way in hell this could be that one. Anyways, this is the shit.

The 1970 version is the greatest one easily. Ian Gillan was the best Jesus and only jesus.

so the album cover of this version on Sput (brown with emblem in center) is the vinyl I own and features the vocalist of Deep Purple, Ian Gillan, which is the original soundtrack and NOT the film version with Ted Neely, right? I'm gonna change the artwork to the film soundtrack cover, but I just wanted to double check
