Yup, still best Circa. 1000 Witnesses and The Most Dangerous Commercials are awesome too.

"On Letting Go > Juturna > BSN > Descensus > VW tbh"

Good rating but where's The Amulet, though?

The first half of this is awesome, but it kinda flatlines for me after The Difference Between.... Just feels very front loaded but I’m gonna give a few more listens to see if the second half grows on me more before moving on to Violent Waves.

Btw Living Together is fucking fantastic. Prob my fav song of theirs so far along with Stop the Fucking Car and Through the Desert Alone.

id add mandala to that run but agree after that isnt as memorable. kicking your crosses down and the closer are amazing tho

Closer is definitely the best of the second half, but even Mandala and Kicking don’t really do anything for me.

Having listened to their first three albums only, current ranking is BSN (4) > Juturna (3.5) > OLG (3)

This one probably grew the most on me compared to the rest of their stuff. Didn’t care for it for years and came back to it and started digging it more.

I bought this when it came out and it never grew more than a 3 and that always felt generous.

Does anyone have recs for anything that sounds similar to this or Juturna? Juturna especially, I love that spacey alt-rock sound they had there. I've tried for YEARS to find anything that has a similar vibe and have come up empty.

nah juturna is in a league of its own. never found anything that quite matches the vibe of that album despite the numerous bands out there that ran w circas template

That's what I've been fearing lol. What a bummer. Hopefully someone will pop in with a rec, but I don't have a lot of hope for it.
