New Adventures has E-Bow the Letter, one of their best songs, so that definitely counts for something. Really strong record overall.
Kenneth is definitely one of their best openers, but hard to pick just one. Radio Free Europe and Finest Worksong come to mind also though.

How The West Was Won, Feeling Gravity's Pull, Drive, Radio Free Europe and Harborcoat (probably in that order) are my Top 5.

If I had to pick their best opener though I'd say Radio Free Europe.

Love the original version, but the Murmur version fits much much better on Murmur.

i thought this album was some tossed-off bullshit when i first heard it (i guess the ms-paint resolution album cover didn't help) but man there's some fun & beautiful shit on this. plus tracks they never really came close to doing anything similarl to, either before or after this, like Circus Envy

They've never been this 'heavy' and I think that might be why a lot of people don't like this.

It definitely doesn't sound like their other stuff so yeah. More grunge influence on this one.

Best R.E.M. Album ever. I love this album mainly because it doesn't sound like R.E.M. What's the frequency Kenneth band and blame and crush with eyeliner are my favourites.

Album doesn't really do much for me I'm afraid. With that being said though, there's still some really great tracks on here. "Kenneth" kicks major ass, and is probably one of the band's best songs.

people mostly go on about the "grunge side" that pervades this album, but Let Me In, Strange Currencies, & Tongue are beautiful

I kinda appreciate how varied this album is
The problem is that individual tracks aren't standing out as much as I'd like them to
at least on first listen... maybe it'll grow
