(or - its **** and i'm going to force myself to like it) It's good, but I think there is a lot better out there. So, for me, it doesn't require force to enjoy it, but it's nothing really special.

Skeptical or no, Alloy is one of the best albums of 2008.
I just noticed this. Shouldn't it be changed to not*?

I wanna rate this higher but the middle seems to kind of sag for me. It starts and ends so incredibly strong that the middle tracks get swallowed up and the album ends up seeming not as good overall to me. At the same time, I love how relatively fast it goes for a doom album. A 4 for now.

I was just kidding, I enjoyed it but didn't get a good listen, I was doing something else while listening.

Often ruins a doom album experience.

you should be in the fetal position in the darkest corner of your house, otherwise you wont realize its full potential...or yours...

I guess I enjoy this a lot more than you guys. The only concession I can make really is with March October, but other than that I think this is sublime.

Sure does.

I really don't know about this... Then again, I've never bothered to listen to doom/funeral doom. I see some of the post metal overlap, but it's still... disturbingly dense.

Well it's not going to appeal to everybody.

it took me a while to get used to how slow it is. It may not seem that slow to anyone else, but i dont normally listen to music that's this slow, the only thing that comes close is maybe my dying bride, but thats it.
