I actually love this album cover. Same as I like like all of their lyrics and a lot of songs. Saw them twice live and they're just awesome to me.

They made it up with this album for the Tales mistake.

they are really good live and really good guys, its just that this doesn't give me that excitement their early stuff did.

I'm with you, but such an opinion usually gets you lynched around here.

Their catchiest album but it could have been cut down to 10/11 tracks, there are a bunch of fillers.

It's a slight step down for me in terms of originality and musicianship (compared to the band's first two albums that is, I haven't heard TDTT), but the accessibility here is enough for me to rate it a 3.5.

I just went from a 3.5 to 5ing this because I just realized You Can't See The Forest, Beneath the Burning Tree, Waterfront Dance Club, Ghosts, Charlie Don't Surf, Constant Illuminations, To Die Like Mouchette, Kicking and Screaming, and Someday the Fire all belong in my top 25 FFAF songs list.

Yeah excellent album. Definitely a grower. Thought it was weak the first few times I heard it but it got better every time.
