I didn't like this at first but that's quickly changing.

Repetitive would be the word to describe this band.
Oh, and bland.

Many words could describe this band. Those are some. Other's include, contemplative, powerful, heavy-as-fuck, relentless, brooding, ect.

Well looking at what you're into kygermo, I think you might enjoy this but it could be a toss up. I'd say go with this album first, but as you can see, some people find them kind of boring (including me in the beginning). It's heavy but in a steady driving sense, and progressive but not in the crazy technical sense. Just check it out and make the call.
And i agree jrowa. The other albums took me a while to get into, but this one hit from the beginning.

Got in a good listen, still seems kind of drawn out in places, and a tad boring in others, but overall this is much more compelling that Mars to Sirius. I'm liking the second half of the album way more too, starting with The Art of Dying.

^^ Yeah, it seems like they put all the better songs in the bottom half to make you wait for it. But I have to say I really do like the first track Oroborus.

i need to get around to spending more time with this band...

Album is good but goes into dullsville after track 8

Clicked on the stream and checked out the title track.
Pleasantly surprised indeed. A return to the faster style of The Link and such.
From Mars to Sirius was a droning, consistently boring record, and I'd all but lost hope for this.
I'll check out the whole thing tomorrow probably.

Album is real good. Vacuity and Oroborous are incrdibly heavy and gut punching. A Sight to Behold has a kind of Cynic-y vibe to it but good nonetheless.

Album is good, tho some songs (as usual) go on wayyyyy too long...The Art of Dying, however, makes this album better than average...it's what Gojira should always be and gives me hope that maybe one day they'll make an epic album

from just the first 2 songs that i'm hearing, this album is amazing
just like from mars to sirius
and wow, mario's drumming is better than ever, the guitarwork is more mature and solid, and i really like teh direction of joe's growls, since i found his bellows on the link and from mars to sirius good, but slightly annoying. this album fixes that problemThis Message Edited On 10.02.08

Okay, this is better overall than FMtS, Toxic Garbage Island, Esoteric Surgery and the title track (well, when actual music is playing) are all very awesome. But there's nothing here quite as good as Backbone and Global Warming. This Message Edited On 10.03.08

listened to this, thought it was really average

This album just drags on and on way too much.

From what I've listened to of this album so far I'm not too impressed. Maybe it'll be a grower.
