Tracks 2, 5-8 & 10 are all 5s. Every thing else is 3-4. Track 9 is just an interlude so it doesn't get a rating.

@Ninja: I have a feeling you'll be getting a shitload of backers for that one... oof

@Screamo: Then logically, you'd be better off giving this a 4.5, tbh.

It's still a classic even if it's a lopsided album. Having 6 top tier metalcore tracks is enough in my book to be a 5

That's still just 6 5's, 3 3-4's and an unrated interlude. Giving the three non-5's a 3.5 average would average your score out to about a 4.5/5, so if you were using my scale this would be a 4.5.

5 x 6 = 30
3.5 x 3 = 10.5
30 + 10.5 = 40.5
9 x 5 = 45
45 / 9 = 0.9
0.9 = 4.5/5

Albums aren't a formula lmao. When I sit down and listen to it, I think it's worth a 5 in that I enjoy myself the entire time & think this is a landmark release for both metalcore and the band itself

Understandable. I guess I just see ratings in a more mathematic form. I upped my rating to a 2 because I noticed my track averages weren't lining up with the 1.5 I had this at.

I mean that formula works for releases that have no flow like trap mixtapes. I think this album has a good flow when listening to it front-to-back but there's obviously tracks I come back to more often than others when I'm just listening to random tracks

I think it's really about the consistency of the record, which this doesn't really feel consistent at all.

tbh Count Your Blessings and Edge of Your Seat are their only consistent releases imo

This just has some "good" songs with some legendary songs. There's like 6 songs that are definitely some of my favorite metal/hardcore tracks ever which is why it gets a 5

Sempiternal and TIAH have traded blows in the past for me, but as of the last year Sempiternal grew to a 5 again.
