Thanks man, I'm trying to fix it up a little now, I think it'll be okay.
You should definitely check this out. Like I said to Balls, it's very much like Consummatum Est but without the distorted screams that annoyed you, and more guitar/riff centric approach.

This is 5 songs of funeral doom so I think 500 words is just about fine.

I still can't decide if this one or the next one is my favorite though.

Cheers guys, still reads a bit rushed but it'll do.
I still need to hear In Fields..., is it like this? And I'm curious about their debut, might check that out sometime as well.

This is their full length debut. There is an EP before this, but it's just a re-release of their demo. "In Fields..." moves a little bit away from funeral doom. Also it has a different female vocalist who is more operatic and no growled vocals.

Excellent review as always rasputin. This is going on my list! Looking for some samples as I write this.

Oh right, I thought Tristesse was a full length, nevermind then.

This is one album that's definitely lost its replay value over time.

The review rating is bumped because of the album's influence, but this is still an enjoyable album.

I was listening to this last night and it just wasn't doing anything for me. Even the following album was a huge leap. This was definitely a big album for the genre though.

I'm not sure as I've never seen it in any CD stores, you'd probably have to buy it online.

I love it, don't want to listen to it all the time but when I do its very satisfying.

Then again I don't often want to listen to ultra depressing Funeral doom that makes me envision my loved one being lowered into the grave as I bitterly stare at the sky, hahaha!

Listened to Moment In Black the days the fathers of two separate friends died, it was really powerful.
