Man on one hand this is reasonably inspired, but on the other hand those operatic soprano vox really mess up the oomph factor in parts

I think this is their best. Love those fem vox

At the moment I like the second one better. This still has great stuff on it, but that opera stuff causes me quite a bit of cringe

I'm gonna give this one another full spin this weekend. Jamming Nocebo right now and it's definitely still an inspired sounding release so I could see this one going from 3.5 to 4 for me

Haha I get the cringe but the opera vox totally clicked with me, it's what makes this release stand out even more. Lots of epic moments on this album. I like the acoustic atmospheric parts as well. Check Humanoid if you dig those.

I'll give that Humanoid a whirl as well!

It's an entirely different vibe but it's where the ambient parts on Augury albums come from.
|
| |
Screw it, bumped to a 4. It's definitely deserving of that.

Relistening. This is such a milestone. The arrangements are so wonderfully over the top, from the beginning of "Beatus" up to the end of "As Sea Devours Land".

Just watched their live streamed concert, playing Concealed in full. They killed it. With Corinne Cardinal on fem vox. So sick.
