Oh damn, I just found myself humming this, then starting going through my entire itunes trying to find what song it was, only to find it was this.. then I sat down and just started playing it, looking up to see I have five minutes left.
I really need to reassess this. It has some really spectacular parts. 29:50 is my favorite, but here I am now writing this up at 32:40, and this is moving as well.
I dunno, I think I was just being grumpy about how inaccessible it was for me.. for like a year. Still, it doesn't move in where I would rank it among their discography, ironically. Below Morning, Above Ghost.

By the way, is the track list supposed to imply PoB to be split into 3 parts ? It's definitely 1 track on mine.. I'd say that's the thing that kept me from really appreciating this cd.
.. not to mention tracks 5 and 4 are in reverse. ermm.. i mean, that which is labled 3 and 4. =/

I really like the Plague of Butterflies story.

Plague of Butterflies is one of the most overwhelmingly beautiful songs I've ever heard. Especially the guitar/piano melodies at the end of Evael. It's crushing, but graceful. I love it

If you read the story in the lyrics, the name will make sense.

Yeah the story and lyrics are great, it's probably the best thing this band has ever done but isn't the rest just demos of already released songs?
|
| |
Yeah I agree. This and "New Moon" are their best. And yeah the first song is the main track and the last four are just demo tracks of some songs that ended up on "The Morning Never Came".

Yeah that's what I remember, don't really care much unless the music is drastically changed but I don't get that from this. They could've just released it as a song like Meshuggah did with "I."
