“Hold Vertigo”
I think you mean "I Hold Vertigo". You did this twice.
Other then that minor mistake, this has got to be review of the year on Sputnik. Simply Wow'ed! at how well done this review is Coke.
Anyone wondering about how Lazarus Bird stands-up against Origo, I’ll come right out and say it’s just flat out better.
I don't know about this. I just got this today and I'm still giving it a full listen. I think this album is going to take a bit more digesting.
Highly recommended and without question one of the top releases of 2008.
Finally, someone recognizes these guys for their true greatness.
Need to listen to this more before I do my Soundoff. If I did a review for this, it would be fanboyism to the max. This Message Edited On 09.16.08

redownloaded itunes and was able to download this properly. It's blowing me away right now, much better than Origo imo. The clean sections are beautiful.

this will feed my progressive hunger until Traced in Air comes out.
until then, best progressive album of 08 so far.

So far after two listens through, Origo still reigns supreme. Album just feels too loose ended in areas. The instrumental also lacks the amazing effect that 'It Comes Into View' had on me.

ok so im giving origo a spin now and i guess this isn't that much better than it, a little bit though. I just think the instrumentation is much better as a whole, but I think Origo has a stronger atmosphere. Plus this has no filler (imo Slave Emotion was a bit lackluster)

imo Slave Emotion was a bit lackluster
The intro to that song is metalcore at its best.

I've been listening to it all day long, I really love it. With Origo I knew it deserved a 4.5 since the first spin I gave it, but with this one I still can't decide between a 4 and a 4.5. I guess I like Origo slightly better.

This cd has so much going on that it gets somewhat overwhelming...definitely doesn't beat Origo.

Yes, it's more complex, but it's still awesome, the closing track is brilliant.

I was sold at the summary due to my recent post metal AND older prog listening binge. Nice review, though.
Hopefully I'll like this.
