As for the ASP vocals, what is the deal with all of the hate? I admit that he's not a world changing vocalist but I found myself getting rather pumped when he screamed "Take it back!" on Wage Slaves.

Too bad the Faceless have deathcore influenced breakdowns in almost every song excluding maybe the title track. They also used a keyboardist like quite a few other deathcore groups out of CA. (Winds of Plague). But it doesn't really matter, this is after all an ASP thread.

One last thing, agreed, Platonism, Leica is one of my favorite songs ever.

stfu with your tech deathcore. theyre technical death metal, a breakdown in one song doesnt make 'em core.

The Faceless's other stuff was actually very hardcore sounding, so I'd definitely say they have deathcore influences, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they are deathcore.

Have you actually listened to ASP, because they have like fifty in most songs

haha very true. And this record rules more than people will admit because they are too busy comparing it to TPoE rather than seeing it as the next step in them maturing as a band and a completely different sound.

I think most would agree, the thing is on this album he has lost a great degree of his emotion/in your face aggressive awesomeness...he's much less impressive, especially scream-wise, and it hurts the album a great deal

I thought he was more impressive, but just didn't put as much emotion into it. The "TAKE IT ALLLL BACK" part in Wage Slaves still gives me chills btw.

He has gotten much better as a vocalist though, and this album proves it; he just lacked a lot of emotion in a couple of the screams that could have been earth-shattering.

Hmm... in the eyes of the beholder I suppose. I personally enjoy his vocals. But theres so much going on instrumentally that I guess I never really focused on them entirely.

Yeah Hernan ruled on Wage Slaves. I just think he's kinda boring on here. There aren't any moments where he screams and I'm absolutely terrified on this album, like I was on TPoE.

Wage Slaves will always be my favorite by them, and that's because of the vocals.

The intro and outro of Wage Slaves is shit-your-pants good, but the middle is kinda meh.

But seriously that last breakdown is so heavy it's scary

Herman's vox on here have a much more hardcoreish feel to them than they did on TPoE. like a kind of boring yell rather than his bellows or superb highs. both of those are still there, but for the majority of the time it seems as if he's just using those kinda hardcore/kinda deathcore vocals

nah that's just how his mids sound. listen to TPoE, and you'll see that his mids are still the same.

Those kind of things are kind of absent from this album.

I just listened to two songs from this and they were both pretty awesome. I still have to check out the whole thing though.
