^not utterly. John really summed this up well. It's like they're constantly on the verge of a generational album imo and show flashes of absolute brilliance... then lull

what I said wasn't any kind of dig at the album, I was just getting at the fact that if you really build something up you normally just end up getting really disappointed, even if it is not that bad.

A lot of the songs here feel like rehashings of stuff they've done in the past, but it still rules a lot.

seems to me this will likely be a grower, which appears to have been what happened for their last album for a few people.

The build up to spencer's dissonant recital/whatever you want to call it is amazing.

^agreed. my only issue (or what i was trying to communicate earlier) is how it reminds me so strongly of some seek forgiveness.

idk it's probably a little high, but they're my favorite band, so whatever.

And yeah, Too Bright...Too Loud is basically Some Will Seek Forgiveness pt. 2, only way better.

This cd for me works better if listened to as a whole.

The ending of this album is moving.

Underoaths best album yet.
