Rolling Stone when this album came out: "AC/DC's best album!"
I know it goes without saying, but I'm going to say it anyways; fuck Rolling Stone. I've never seen such a popular medium for music journalism and criticism so consistently wrong in hindsight. So many great albums shit on, so much mediocre shit praised to the moon.

Rolling Stone is bullshit. I remember reading their reviews for Black Sabbath’s Heaven And Hell and Mob Rules. They gave the first album a glpwing review, then the next a harsh 1/5, saying audacious things like that they were playing out of tune and off tempo, and that Dio was not in key. Like, what was so different between those two albums? They’re very similar. Never read em after that.

discog walk; always had mixed feeling about this album, too many average/poor fillers contrasted by a few punchy good tracks.
