Yeah, I'm with you PhantomLimb, 'Everlong' is their best for mine if I had to pin it down to 1 song.

Careful around here saying that 'TC&TS' is their best album Ross. Believe it or not, there are many who think the pseudo-solo project that was their debut self-titled is their best!

Croc, there have actually been some rumours that Grohl will front the new Led Zeppelin while the Foo Fighters are taking a break.

hmm, they should get the foos drummer (forgotten his name) as he was the one singing, and did a mighty fine robert plant impression!

Yeah not sure about Grohl subbing for Plant as I have never been too keen on hs vocals. I'm sure he could take to the drums as a suitable Bonham replacement but I'm struggling to think of a decent replacement for Plant.

Taylor Hawkins is the drummer you are thinking of Croc. He has his own band also and even sings on one of the Fooeys songs on their double album.

I generally like Grohl's voice. It's nothing too outstanding but it's as solid as a rock. And he is an absolute treat live. I cannot recommend their live show enough. It was the best gig I went to in 2008. Like you say Ross, I have no idea who could fill in for Plant. The best scenario is Plant himself!

Yeah a few people have recommended Foo's live to me. One of my friends saw them at Wembley and says it is the third best gig he has ever been to (and thats behind Muse at Wembley and Led Zeppelin at the O2)

Their self titled is their best album by far IMO

Zeppelin aren't getting back together.

Anyway, haven't listened to this record in ages.

What did I tell you Ross... KILL is one of those who thinks the self-titled is their (read: his) best.

I think that I hope you are right DavID. I'd rather just take a listen to their albums (or Best Of) as it always has been. 'Kashmir' is right up there in my Best Ever Songs list.

lol i remember waiting to get into the iron maiden gig and a foo fighters commercial for th gig came up on the TV screen and a group of metal heads behine were scoffing at that 'mainstream rock band'. I was just staying silent thinking to myself 'but...I don't mind the foo fighters'

funnily enough at the Judas Priest concert the foo's latest album was playing over the PA....I can't escape from them

Dave Grohl is stalking you Croc!

And as for metal-heads, you know they all secretly like The Fooeys, but it's uncool for them to admit it in front of their mates. When they get home though, you know they are all singing along to 'The Pretender'.

There was a rumor that Myles Kenneddy was going to replace Plant. That would have been fantastic IMO.

Man, I look back at this review & wonder how in the blue hell I gave a Fooeys record a 2.

And then I look at the tracklist.
