i love this album, and their other two, and the songs they've released on t'internet from the newie seem pretty gud too!!!

gotta say, i thought todd who played on RPM was their best guitarist so far. like the angel solo, and torches riff (among many others) were sheer genius!

great review. rise against is one of those bands that doesn't need to be popularized by MTV to be amazing.

its depressing though, when people judge the bands that get put on MTV, just because they get put on MTV, w/o ever giving them a chance, or even listening and absorbing ones album. I admit MTV has ruined music, and i despise alot of bands on there, but i try to be fare and give them a chance before i go off and say that that band sucks.

Sorry that was a bit off topic. But if Rise Against did happen to get put on MTV, would they lose alot of their original fans? Probably.

This album is awsome! I love the vocals, the guitars, drums everything. It's better than I thought it would be.

I love this CD its a fairly non-bias political rock. Excepte mabey Stait of the Union. O and a7x is deinatly not hardcore its metal to say the least. afi is emo and bands like Social Distortion,Decendents, and 7 Seconds is hardcore. u cant fuse metal and hardcore into a semingless whole so get ur facts straight before u try to critisize some one else.

Ok, I would sersiously like to know: Where does the Avenged Sevenfold and AFI references come from?

AFI != Emo, not even close.

Avenged Sevenfold != Hardcore, not even close.

God, if everybody stating Pop-Punk = Emo would be shot, overpopulation would never be a problem  Folks, please educate yourself better. Seriously. Do so.

Good solid album, the album that got me onto Rise Against, actually. But there's no denying that RPM is definitely better. Can't wait to hear their new album.

Well somethings been bothering me lately so maybe you could clear it up. I have the Bastards Of Young documentary and it says emo is when all the punk bands from DC started singing about relationships instead of politics like Rites Of Spring and Embrace. Well pop punk is a form of punk and most pop punk bands sing about relationships so wouldn't that make them emo.
