70's progressive radio pop-rock... I heard about this band when someone mentioned Dream Theater ripped off their album cover of Famous Last Words (the DT album was A Dramatic Turn of Events).
As a mid-20s man in 2015 myself, is this album worth listening to, or will the decades-old teenage angst rub me the wrong way?

That's the album that got me into progressive rock in the 70's, followed by Genesis' Foxtrot. Annd the first show that I've seen was Breakfast in America in '79, opened by Jean-Luc Ponty. Unforgettable night.

This is what the set list likely looked like, so you can see that Supertramp was a very generous band.
Here's my summary; I remember by snippet that sunny summer day of july. I went there with 2 or 3 of my fellas prog freaks with probably our long hair and side whiskers ;) We were into a Supertramp binge for days, of course.
I remember that we arrived to the site soon enough with probably a pack of 12 beers. They were prohibited at the entrance, so we drunk them fastly before entering. Beers were not cold, trust me. (the effect of the sun). I also remember we brought some stuff to smoke, so we had a funny buzz from the start. The spirit of the 70's was still with us haha. In the middle of the show, a keyboard broke down at the beginning of a song. A musician told us in a good French enough, that the keyboard was ''kapput''... but they restored it all at the minute, for the show must go on. They spoke in French during the entire show.

When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful [2]
i'd pay a pretty nice dollar to have seen that, coupled with some warm beers, sounds like a kick ass time....with limited responsibilities.....the good old days

Yeah you're right, Titanbro. The good old days with no computers and no Iphones. We were outside all the time, climbing in the trees, building huts, playing sports and hockey in the street and all, and bying vinyls of our idols from time to time... playing music, teasing chicks, etc... and zero stress...except for school haha

@Friday, yeah mate, the setlist contains a fair amount of BiA...They were also generous with CotC and managed to play the EitQM's best tracks. In fact, my only gripe is the lack of songs from Crisis (they played the best one at least, ''Sister Moonshine''). And what would you ask for more with ''Crime of the Century'' as the encore...???
Oh it was beautiful, magical...
@Titan, same here, even in winter, to stay the king of the mountain haha
