The new album is great. A quick blunt comparison is the doomiest side of Solitude Aeturnus and the moodiest side of Fates Warning, but through Psychotic Waltz's usual filter.

Close to, say, Adagio and A Pleasant Shade of Grey, respectively?

Haha. How about Into the Depths of Sorrow and Perfect Symmetry meets Bleeding.

Re-jammed Devils and Angels and All the Bad Men (the only two available to me in US), and I enjoyed them both a lot. Kind of excited for this, might be my first big metal album of 2020. They have a 'classic metal' sound that I usually bite on (which makes sense because they're basically a 90s band); not a fan of metal where everything is screamed 24x7 (although it has its place, like Converge), but overall I definitely prefer the instrumental side of things with moody vocals that maybe occasionally erupt into screams.

I'm a new release junkie so if I'm being honest I'll probably just start here because it already caught my interest. If it's a hit then I'll backtrack.

This is probably the best album that has a bunch of dabbing ghosts on the cover

This is a band that is so sadly unknown, even within prog circles.

Faded is incredible. Love the feel of this record with the shorter tunes. Awesome sound here...
