I'd give this a 4.5 or possibly a 5 if it weren't for the last two tracks. The rest is excellent, those two just don't do much for me.This Message Edited On 01.17.09

The definition of a 5 / 5 album. Absolute perfection. Discipline always makes me go crazy just listening to how they did that all. Each instrument is played in its own meter, fuckin crazy!

Summary: one of the best albums i've ever heard
I still maintain this. Matte Kudasai in particular melts my soul

Frame By Frame is an awesome song.

the only king crimson album i can stand listening to is in the court of the crimson king

my favourite KC so far, amazing album.
|

This is their best or second best album. Frame By Frame and Matte Kudasai are such brilliant pieces of music

I find this and Talking Head's Remain In Light very complimentary to one another.

yeah i think you said that to me before. i'll give that a listen and see if i agree

Yeah I spammed the Talking Heads review with that observation I thought I might at least post it once here.

I'm only familiar with their 70's work, although I should listen to this sometime since it's often cited as one of their best.

I have to go and make the generic comment by saying In The Court is amazing and a prog masterpiece (if you can overlook the last section of Moonchild). Red is superb as well. Larks was a bit too experimental for my doing though.
