"Changed my mind on what score I should give them... finally settled on 5, I love this album way to much not to call it classic; their many styles are impressive and despite the singer's short range his voice suits all of their songs."
Oh please god, tell me he didn't label this a classic. Album owns NOTHING

Takes a bit of listening to get into it, but once you give em a chance its a pretty fun album.
Saw em at TOC a few years back, decided to check out the album, pretty awesome.
A lot of their stuff is slightly downtempo, which is pretty different compared to what i've been hearing lately. Vic has a strange voice, but it sounds nice with what they are singin about.
And yea the screams are perfectly placed throughout-bassist does screams, who is extremely fun live.
In all, yea im a fan.

The vocals are initially offputting, but my god am I glad I gave this album a second listen as it's absolutely excellent from start to finish. Extremely catchy and melodic metalcore, similar to Chiodos.

Besides the first song, the beginning of the album is pretty bad. Starts to pick up on 'Falling asleep on a Stranger' and finishes strong.

Taking their cues from early MCR & The Used, 'A Flair For The Dramatic' is an apt debut LP title for post-hardcore act Pierce The Veil. Consisting of the 2 Fuentes brothers, Vic's high-pitched vocals & Mike's backing screams both take time getting used to. While the loose concept concerning all things "dramatic" keeps things focused, the duo relish straying from the conventional & show a mastering of dynamics beyond their years. The diverse musicianship & song styles is genuinely impressive, even if the production could do with some polishing up. Recommended Tracks: She Sings in the Morning, I'd Rather Die Than be Famous, Currents Convulsive & Yeah Boy and Doll Face.
