After several spins I think I might enjoy this one more than Deliverance on the long run. It's more interesting and diverse.

The D's taken together are definitely more diverse, though that may be cheating. Watershed is less rooted in the metal, but Deliverance is so much more focused and compositionally much stronger. In terms of creating an atmosphere it's unparalleled in their discography.

This isn't very consistent whilst Deliverance is consistently bad so he has a point.

I hate the fact that Burden is on this album. Otherwise this is a cool 5 with Akerfeldt's best and most creative acoustic guitar work.

T/t and Master's Apprentices are great so I wouldn't go as far as to call the whole album consistently bad but it's definitely not as interesting as this one.
