best thing wayne has done better than any of his studio albums imo, shows wayne at the top of his game the lyricism on this is just plain out sick.he made these songs his own over other peoples beats and in most cases his version killed the original except on a few songs in which we know are classics in their own right already.

It's funny because he said the carter 3 was going to flop.
I guess people don't always know wtf they're talking about.

I've heard nothing but bad things about Lil Wayne, should that deter me from listening to this mixtape?

This is EASILY Wanye's best work, and the best official mixtape I've ever heard (tied with Re-Up Gang's We Got It For Cheap Vol. 2).
It's funny because he said the carter 3 was going to flop.

To me, Tha Carter III was a flop, not in terms of selling obviously, but in terms of the actual music. While their are still plenty of flashes of Wanye's brilliance on The Carter III, this is about when he starts to get absorbed in his own ego, and the music suffers as a result. Since Tha Carter II Wayne has thought he was the best rapper alive, but by Tha Carter III he began to believe ANYTHING he turned out was quality material. Having said that, Wayne's new single "Six Foot Seven Foot" is the best song lyrically he's put out in a while, so I hope Tha Carter IV puts him back on track.
