But my point is, its the same ol always, lead and cords. They could change it up a bit.

I saw a commercial for them a few days ago and they played Heaven's a Lie, which I love, but had no idea it was them. What I read about them made them seem heavier then I thought they were.
Might have to check this one out.

Shattered Future, that was an amazing review. I commend you, honestly. I have a question, do you only listen to metal, or do you just only review metal albums? If that is the case, I might suggest branching out a little bit. If not, then stick with your thing.

I like a LOT of other stuff, but I usually find myself sticking around metal...it's what I really love.
I also like a smattering of other stuff...jazz, a bit of funk, a dash of techno...stuff like that. Nothing really unknown or whatnot, but stuff that sounds good.
Thing is, I don't really OWN anything non-metal that hasn't been reviewed already...

Love this album. Christina Scabbia beats almost all other female's in the music business (especially Otep)
|
| |
Scabbia is a good singer...better than quite a few in today's industry.
She's also one of the hottest people I've ever seen.

She's one of the best female singers in metal I've ever heard, when she's singing within her range. When she goes really low it doesn't sound as good.
I saw the video for Heaven's a Lie last night. Great song.
And Christina was soooooooo hot.

It's true, though.
It really is.

Um... Lacuna Coil isn't pop... or rap... WTF??????

The older stuff was a bit heaveier and less electronic then this.

Christina's vocals are really the only thing that impresses me about this band. I found the music to be a bit too bland. I'll look into their older stuff a bit, apparently it has more leads.

They are extremly original, you won't hear anything quiet like either of them. Go for Lacuna Coil, Nightwish isn't as good.
|
| |
I like Nightwish more, but both are good. Nightwish is more complex and power metal. Lacuna coil is much more and dumbed down shall we call the guitar riffs. Both are great though.
|
| |
Nightwish completely owns Lacuna Coil in every category.
Singer is better, musicians are better, songs are better, writing is better...pretty much everything.
Not to say Lacuna Coil is bad (I love them), but Nightwish is just that much better than them.

Yes the guitar playing on this album is quite simple. But this album just never get's old for me. Some of this music is simply ethereal and could fit on a Dead Can Dance album. I think the simplicity is a positive for this band.
Fav song - Angel's Punishment

Comalies is weak, anyway. Go get Unleashed Memories...
The guitar work is terrible on here, I'll agree completely. Synth takes it over.
Nightwish has gaping holes in the songs I've heard. Like, really really noticable ones. Also, they really aren't that epic. Or good.
Tarja < Christina.
Emperor = Epic. Agalloch = Epic. Solefald = Epic. Ulver = Epic. Opeth = Epic. Isis = Epic. Enslaved = Epic.
Nightwish = [no]
etc.

Tarja> Christina
Tarja has a much better voice. Nightwish's music is much more complex and holds my interest for much longer times.
|
| |
Nightwish not epic?
Go listen to Ghost Love Score, and tell me they aren't epic. :thumb:
Tarja and Cristina competing...
Looks: No contest. Cristina.
Singing talent: Again, no contest. Tarja. She's just a better singer in every way possible.
