What's wrong with 'angsty' lyrics? the 'bee' sound on ripe with decay is that of flies, as if to be laying maggotts in something which is decaying (der). a bit too much 'i like' and 'i dont like' in this review for me, but other wise quite well done. Reznor is genious, to make a double record such as this practically off your own back is nothing short of astounding...

You know this is an amazing record one of the finest of the 1990's I think it's even better than The Downward Spiral. For the following reasons Trent seems even more unhappy with his stardom that he got on The Downward spiral, he is mixed up depressed suicidal and shows all that on here. It has more songs. We're In This Together Star Fuckers and into The Void are better singles than Closer (although I can't believe you only gave Into The Void 2/5 that's just ridiculus). However I would say Just Like You Imagined is the strongest song on here. Plus what do you mean Were Is Everybody is bad lyrics that should go down with Happiness In Slavery as some of his greatest written songs. Only song I don't really like is The Mark Has Been Made. This record gets mixed reviews and I believe it's extremly underated but that's what some great records get not everyone is going to love it if it's great. I would rank this better than Pretty Hate Machine also but not as good as Broken in my opinion.

By far my fav NIN record.

I might have to pick this up

This is excellent but would rate much higher in my book if lost some of those not quite as good tracks. They bring the record down for me, especially as it is such a long album.

i even love Starf*ckers, and that's generally the most hated track on here

I understand you totally love the album and thats cool and stuff, loads of other people do too. It's just, in my opinion, there are some very meh songs on this record which just pale in contrast to some of the other songs on here which are just amazing. Therefore, if those songs that are a bit meh were cut out and the album was a bit shorter I think it would be much better.

and it's already fucking cool

Yeah maybe, I mean you never know right?
Also, 02 Into The Void
This is the poppiest track on the Fragile...and the intro melodies are almost exactly the same as in "La Mer". Trents vocals are good...and it's very catchy. But it's weak compared to most of the other tracks out there. But not as weak as the next track 2.5/5
Ouch! I love that song.
