How is this record compared to Origo and Lazarus Bird?

LB is my favorite by these guys. Honestly, I didn't like Origo as much as LB or this. Everyone else would probably say different tho. imo it's Lazarus Bird > Prey on Life > Origo. they are all worth hearing tho.
This is more straightforward metalcore with some progressive elements. Origo is like atmostpheric metalcore w/ progressive elements and a hint of post-metal. Lazarus Bird leaps more toward post metal, very atmospheric and progressive. you still hear the metalcore in there, just not as much.
that's what I get anyway.

Thanks a lot. I've only heard their most recent two records. Lazarus Bird slightly edges out Origo for me.
This band is very similar to what I love about Mastodon, but without sounding like them.

It's more of a gratification in them fusing my favorite musical elements together in a way that is satisfying to my ears; in a similar complex way.

This is seriously one of the most underrated metal bands out there. This album is no different, although it's no Origo, its still a cut above almost everything else.
