they be christian foo
ne who, this is pretty much my favorite metal band id say, and dang, this cd is awesome. i got it the week it came out because i only had like 11 bucks and it was 9.99. even tho i hadnt heard any of these new tracks, i was in love with teh song Distance is Darkness from the last record and so decided to buy it. one of the best cd purchases i ever made.
the guitar riffing and drumming on this album was simply amazing. i really didnt care for track 7, and the last song took too long to start, but other than that this cd is all good.

This album must suck horribley then. Frail Words Collapse was borderline insulting to my musical integrity.
And yes, AILD is a Christian band.

pretty good cd. AILD is probably my favorite of the gothenburg styled "metalcore" bands out there.
favorite track is probably the truth of my perception. i just love that triplet riff.
plus, i just saw these guys live a couple days ago... awesome.

as i listen to this i find that i still like it. but i notice that the guitar sounds like crap. like... fake, kinda as if they recorded using a line 6 guitar port or something. they had a good sound as far as the guitar is concerned with the last record, so i dont get whey they had to crappify it up

^ Wouldn't quite say that. AILD has a specific tone thats not really matched by any other bands out there and thats one thing that I think a lot of us like them for. Not sure if you play guitar or not, but you can't get that sound out of a cheap musicians friend sale item that no one wants anyway.

AILD is christian. Their lyrics don't reek of god. Therefor I don't mind it, just as a7x. It's not the best cd out there, but definatly a good listen often.

^ I agree. This was a good listen. Didnt mention in my earlier post, but, yes AILD is christian. As I lay Dying is the title of a William Faulkner book.

I take back everything I've ever said. As I Lay Dying is by far the most overratted band in Metalcore music.

Can someone give me some examples as to why AILD is Christian?

Howard Jones has probably the best clean voice in Metalcore though.

djf4ever has a point. Jordan Mancino is a fantastic drummer. His double bass drums are amazing but I think As I Lay Dying have a good, solid line-up of talented musicians. This album is great and Tim Lambesis is a realy, really good screamer. I heard he has lessons in the art of screaming...
