If A7X got that slot for Ozzfest this year, they would be one of the 4 or 5 bands going that I would actually go for

bad cd.
Waking the Fallen was awesome though. go check out that cd. they did sell-out this cd and badly. i love old a7x with a passion tho. i've always admired their twin guitar solos. they're really fun to play/figure out too.

Blindside, I cant think of a more closely related guitar duo that relates to Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates than Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, I give them a ton of credit for creating the classic "harmonized" guitar riffs used in so many metal bands today

They didn't sell-out. People these days don't even know what that word means and they just label any band that doesn't make the same record twice in a row and who want to progress musically and challenge the boundaries it.

Viking, I hate when people just throw the word "sellout" around, but I think in this case, it's at least somewhat logical. They drastically changed their style from WTF when they signed to Warner Bros. And suddenly they're tearing up TRL (from what I've heard, I don't watch that crap). If that doesn't seem at all suspicious of selling out (even a little bit), then you're in somewhat of a denial.

I personally don't believe they sold out, but I can see where people who would think that A7X sold out are coming from.

Selling out is when a band no longer plays the music they want and they just play stuff to impress people. It took them about 6 months to really get any attention from this album, if they were really trying to get it noticed they would have been on TRL months before CoE promoting it. Yes WB is part of the reason they changed their style, but it's because they gave them an unlimited budget for the most part, WTF would have been different aswell if they had been given that I can guarentee you. Shadows has said in Q&A's that A7X is only gonna write the music they want, they don't play to anyone else so by definition they did not sell out.

Like I was saying, you don't have to prove anything to me. I don't believe they sold out. I was just saying that to the casual fan that doesn't religiously follow A7X, it would appear that way.

This gets annoying and reptitive. The songs r 2 long and 2 average 2 b 2 long. Plus Matt's voice plus Synester Gates' guitar solos plus The Reverend's ride cymbal combine 4 a REALLY ANNOYING sound after awhile.

Seriously, his ride cymbal dominates the music.

I have been a A7F fan for a long time and i really like this album. The only thing is that i dont listen to them as much as i used to since i read an interview in Outburn last year. M. Shadow is an asshole. He talks about how its all about the money and why would you play small shows when you can fill a stadium. F*** you bud. Small shows are always better and they are more personal for your fans. Thats like saying screw where we came from, this is where we are. He also came out dissing all these other awesome bands and said that they set out to dominate and be the best and then later said that they are the best. SCREW U DUDE. talk about selling out you queer.God i hate that. good music though.

Hey jackass, don't believe the magazines most of the time A7X doesn't even know what

they are writing a bout. And secondly, M. Shadows has said on numerous occasions he

prefers smaller shows, that way it's more personal. Get your facts straight before you

go on a pointless rant. This Message Edited On 03.22.06
