They recently changed from Relapse to Nuclear Blast. I am intrested in seeing what the label change does to their sound.

I plan on buying this soon. Im not really into the whole "Brutal Death Metal Growl" thing but the technicality and the drumming will probably make up for that. Ive heard Lashed To The Salve Stick and its pretty good.

Well, this album is very brutal, but it does have some great melodic breakdowns and if you want technicallity and good drumming, then this is the CD for you.

I have honestly never heard these guys...heard of them, not heard them. Maybe something I'll like...?
And um....there was mention in this review about a solo...is there only 1? Most of you know how I am with solos...I need them...

^^There is more than one solo. But not every song has one. If it doesnt have a solo in it, the song has a pretty kool lead part to make up for it.
I recently bought this and im trying to think of a rating for it.

Nothing says epic death metal like a band from SC using Egyptian and Middle Eastern scales. The first time I heard this band my jaw dropped. It still hasn't closed yet years later. This Message Edited On 08.23.06

Has to be one of the greatest death metal albums ever. In my opinion it blows away anything they have ever done before, and nearly everything else I hear. Every element of the musicianship is flawless. Karl Sanders has possibly the best vocals I've heard. Enough great things cannot be said about this album. Ad Absurdum hit the nail on the head with the review. I could rave about this all day, incredible release.

^^ I agree with you as far as brutal death goes. Nile's AOTW= best brutal death, Hypocrisy's s/t = best melodic death, Opeth's Blackwater Park = best progressive death, Atheist's Unquestionable Presence = best alternative (jazz) death, Bloodbath's Nightmares Made Flesh = best supergroup death, and so on. I dunno, I just felt like making that list since it came up.

I like this album a lot, but i just cant stand the slow "epic" songs. They get really annoying IMO.
