Ummm Sylvia, House is on Tues 9pm if you know what I mean, prior arrangments take precedents, "don't make plans if you need to break plans" my mother always told me

Part of the Queue and the Importance of Being Idle rank up with my favourite Oasis songs (Don't Look Back in Anger, Live Forever and Acquiese, for anyone who cares) so that gives them credibility far beyond anything Pitchfork can muster basically.

Oh Slide Away is right up there for sure, Some Might Say is meh but a good kind of meh as opposed to a Force of Nature kind of meh.

i aggre with most of this review but how can you give `mucky fingers` and ` bell will ring` such low marks and then give ` let there be love` a half arsed balled which could destroy oasis reputation such a high mark. Also `love like a bomb ` should be a 3/5 not 5/5This Message Edited On 04.06.06

Let there be love's the only vocal switch you've heard in an Oasis song? You need to hear Acquiesce. Good review though

Acquiesce is one of my favourite Oasis tracks, shoulda been an A-side. The vocals in that song are brilliant.

I think it is their best album since Morning Glory both in the quality of the songs and the overall flow of the album.

This album destroys Heathen Chemistry and Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, and it's better than Be Here Now.

The album has a very Kinks-like feel to it...all of the songs are well done, and everyone in the band is contributing to the songwriting. The weakest track is probably A Bell Will Ring, and even that is a very good song, just with an iffy beginning. I personally love Mucky Fingers, I think Noel's singing is great and I love the harmonica fills. The best song is either The Importance of Being Idle or Keep the Dream Alive. If SOSOG-on was Oasis Mach II, call this the start of Mach III.

A classic Oasis album if only there were more Noel songs instead of Liam songs then this would easily be a 4.5. Best songs: Turn up the Sun, Lyla, Importance of Being Idle, Let there be Love, Part of the Queue.
