and the fact that you put The Beatles and Led Zeppelin in the same sentence as Nirvana and New Wave justifies that your

taste in music is probably as poor as your knowledge of it.

Or maybe all that shit is what was blasted all the time in childhood, learn some context clues mayne.

Well, all of those bands together, from the time I was old enough to mentally process anything til I was about ten years old, my father would get wasted and blast that shit ALLLLLLL the time. And ya know, oddly enough, despite my issue with his previously rampant alcoholism, that had nothing to do with the resentment. It was like psychological torture to have to hear the Beatles all the god damned time.
On a case-by-case basis:
The Beatles - their early shit is no better, and in many cases worse, than the likes of the stones, the animals, early floyd, what have you, and it's basically pop music; I fucking hate pop music. As for their more psychedelic music, I'd probably like it if I wasn't so biased against the Beatles to begin with. Still though, if this is supposed to be one of their ground-breaking albums...yeah I think I just don't like them at all. I know it's wrong.
Led Zeppelin - I just really don't like Robert Plant's voice. You know that unpleasant sensation you experience when somebody's fucking around with styrofoam? That's the feeling I get when I hear his voice.
Nirvana - they're just boring to me. And I resent that they got so massively popular and nobody gives two shits about the Melvins, the Butthole Surfers, Dinosaur Jr, and the others who paved the way, ya know? Although their first album, Something in the Way, and their covers of Lake of Fire and Man Who Sold the World are pretty good.
New Wave - okay, do I really have to justify hating on New Wave?
