Simply outstanding, I see why it was such a big deal back in the day. The songs just hit you and leave an incredible impact. If you know punk, you know about the sex pistols!!!

Revolutionary album - 5/5. Best songs are no feelings, anarchy and holidays. Pretty good review too.

This album beats everything except for maybe the london calling when it comnes to punk. Look at what the Sex Pistols didi with one album. they never sold out and they were as abrasive till the day they broke up.

I'm very surprised that this is rated as high as it is...it's probably the single most famous punk album of all time, but in terms of music, it pales next to many other punk albums from around the same time. Public Image Ltd (another Jonny Rotten project) is far superior as well, if you like this.

Med57 is right. I used to like this but then I heard PIL. Now this seems boring. I'm currently writing a review PIL-First Issue. It'll be done in a week to a month.

This gets owned so hard by London Calling. I mean thats a piece of genius, and here's a band where the bassist can't play.

For me: every other 70's british punk band>Sex Pistols

I don't mind them, but just like others more. They were highly influential though, cant deny that. This Message Edited On 06.18.06

A highly overrated album. Anarchy In The UK is the only ok song, and the rest, the vocals are so dumb sounding, like a fake punk trying to show his friends how punk he really is.

^I highly doubt all this "The Sex Pistols changed music" mumbo jumbo. The Ramones got punk going. The Ramones are basically pissed off Beach Boys, and The Clash took punk and made it whatever the hell they wanted. The Pistols, if anything, just made punk angrier than it would've been.
