The Leper Affinity is probably my all-time favorite Opeth songs. The riffs and solos are perfection.

Bleak and Blackwater PArk are good, but they start off very slow. It takes a while for them to pick up, but once they do, amazingness follows.

Near perfect. The difference in my opinion between this and Still Life (metal perfection) is slimmer than the slimmest ladies pad.

This is the first Opeth album i got, and the first album woth growling i liked. took me a few listens to get used (being a reguler DT (James "semi-castrated" LaBrie) listener), but once i liked it i really liked it. Still my favourite by them. the title-track is a masterpiece, with Leper Affinity and Bleak 2 more awesome tracks. Acoustic parts are cool aswell.

Not really, I just felt like leaving a random comment. I've been around awhile, I just don't get the chance to log on SPutnik a lot.

Yeah, I give this website credit for showing me Opeth, and now they're my favorite band. That's why I love this site.

It used to be my favorite Opeth track, but as soon as I really got into The Leper Affinity there was no turning back. Best song ever.

I bought this awhile ago and im still not really sure what to think of it. It kool how they combine metal elements with progressive elements, but it can also make them sound a little strange IMO. Ill be listening to it and ill be groovin to the metal riffs and sweet vocals and drumming but then they will start some kinda weird acoustic thingy. Whatever, ill think of something.

I know one thing though....The Leper Affinity m/ m/ m/

This has to be one of the absolute best albums that I've ever listened to. The title track along with the drapery falls and my absolute fav. Opeth songs.

The growling/clean vocals are the best that I've ever heard.

The riffs and beats are just freakin' insane!!!
