It's not just now, they were pretty bad (to me at least) back in the day, too. Honestly, I haven't seen this DVD; hence why it isn't rated. I have witnessed them live myself, and have seen the infamous Cliff 'Em All DVD. I think they're just bad, really.This Message Edited On 07.13.06

the fact of the matter is of metallica and kirk is that they wanted a "yes man" lead guitarist that cliff would write leads for. thats why after cliff died the solos went to wah hell. Cliff, Mustaine, and Hetfield wrote the first 2 metalica albums This Message Edited On 12.05.06

Kirk doesn't create solos without hetfield's help. and kirk doesn't write songs.. he is probably the most overrated player ever
hetfield is much better... he wrote almost every metallica songs and solos. however he is underrated because he doesn't play the solos

Actually frank, Kirk is an amazing guitarist. He doesnt limit himself to just metal. He plays blues, classical, jazz, all kinds of other stuff. He just doesnt show it in Metallica.
