Wu-Tang are quite underated as a rap act. i have so many memories of listening to rap, aged 8, and wu-tang stood out to me in that time.

I dunno, ever since The Chappelle show (sp?) kids at my school can't stop talking about the Wu-tang clan, or charlie murphy.

Its quite annoying.

Good review for a classic. This album changed everything for me, everything. Now my outlook on hip hop is there's Wu and then there's everything else.

Only thing I disagree with is 7th Chamber getting a 3 while Method Man remix gets a 5. I felt the remix was an after thought to the album and had a weak beat but evens toa decent track with Meth's always siropy flow.

I think 7th chamber needs cred because it's basically a beat box with a nice flowing simple piano beat and all the members get on this one ( minus U-God he was incarcerated for most of the albuma nd only appears on 2 tracks) because of the beat box feel this song spits out some memorable lyrics. "Are you a warrior, killer? Slicin shit like a samarah? the ol dirty bastard from tha bah!"

Love it 5 5 5 5 5 5

This album is sweet. Every single member of the Wu is a brilliant rapper, and their contrasting styles keep things from ever getting boring. Method Man and ODB are some of the most unique sounding rappers I've ever heard. The beats are also some of the finest i've heard in hip-hop.

What the truck? Is this album actually this good? I am a Rock/Punk/Indie/Blues & Roots kind of guy. I'm pretty open-minded except for metal and emo really... is this album universally liked? It seems like it. Would I like this album?

it's not an overtly accessible album, if you think you'd like really raw, frantic beats and two handfuls of rappers treating ninjas swords like penises, then check it out.

of course whoever doesn't like it can lick deez nuts

Good review minus how he gave protect ya neck a 4. When method man comes in its one of his best verses to date (excluding gravel pit). "I got fat bags of skunk, I got white owl blunts. And I'm bout to go get lifted, Yes I'm About to go get lifted"

Awesome review, and awesome CD. You missed Masta Killa in the member section, though.

You forgot Masta Killa in your list of the members.

Masta Killa is not an original Wu-tang member, neither is Cappadonna and Killah Priest who both appear on wu-tang albums. This Message Edited On 07.02.07
