Absolutely rules. First three tracks are so damn good, you really dont care about the rest of the album, thou every song here is good. It's fun to listen and thought provoking at the same time if you get this mystical music.

Yeah this is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, Borknagar albums. The Genuine Pulse is such an amazing opener but the whole album rules. I love ICS Vortex with Borknagar, but Vintersorg absolutely killed it on his debut here.

Yes, vocal here is amazing. I dont really like that style of clean singing, but this is really something special and clicks a lot. You dont really try to analyze the music.. It's just completely swallows you with all the huge talent guys put up on this record.

I understand this band is not enough KVLT, but it's rarely you can find such a skilled vocalist in your black metal band, and such crisp and focused production. This album worse a shot for anyone with an ear for atmospheric black metal and can tolerate clean singing (it's really good here). A lot of folk influences present here too, which does not concentrate on creating the atmosphere, but rather filling gaps between songs and disjointed melodies where it's needed.

First 2 with garm are undeniable classics, but Ive had this one with Vintersorg on heavy rotation. Man it's like the ethos of 70s prog combined with folky 2nd wave bm and heroic vox on top.

Great album as expected, even though the treble heavy production drills my ears and Hedlund's cleans are not as solid as in the last album.
