There is a difference between using blues scales in your music and being blues influenced. Opeth actually have breaks in their music that sound like blues. Same case for CoB. Wintersun is a perfect example. I wouldn't consider Wintersun classically-influenced although he uses some classical scales in his solos. CoB, on the other hand, is because their old material is classical-dominant. Most of the riffs run along a classical scale. Yes, classical scales do exist. It's not just a movement.

I also don't see how I reworded your argument so please point that out to me. Anyway, considering the fact that you don't think Bodom has is classically-influenced can you give me an example of a band that is.

Bodom isn't classically influenced. Those neo-classical guitar solos come from their Malmsteen/Vai influences.

Good review.

Decent album but painfully predictable. While I enjoy SOME Children of Bodom, the overall experience just isn't that great. I consider them like...a Greatest Hits band. If they came out with a greatest hits, I'd buy that in a heartbeat, because their best moments are really sweet ones indeed.
Tie My Rope is pretty sweet, and One Day You Will Cry is cool too.

Overratebreeder more like.

This album sucks major ass. The band was never very good to begin with (though their earlier stuff is tolerable, and I enjoy sections of Follow the Reaper in particular), but after that they dropped the ball and anything they've released since is a joke.

Good review aside from some your "your" usage...but that doesn't really take away from the message.
I will still check this out, but I will heed your warning.
