While "Monster" is far from being one of their best albums, I've always liked Monster, the more rocking R.E.M. songs.
Not knowing they had a new CD coming out, I was confused to hear some of these new songs, I asked a friend, hey aren't these songs of REM, can't remember that song was on monster.
Anyway the new album is better than Monster :-)

yes indeed, it is far better than what r.e.m put out earlier in the century, good catchy tunes

Cool I love Automatic for the People, and not really a fan of Out of Time or Monster. This seems like its better so I'll be checking it out.

Nothing groundbreaking but it's certainly an enjoyable listen despite it's short run-time.
Michaels raspy vocals can be really annoying though. "Living well is the best revenge" being the main offender.

Just listened to this 4 or 5 times in a row and it's great, definitely was a great return to form. Living Well Is The Best Revenge is such a great opener.
