kananite is an idiot...I am still listening to this album. It is truly a masterpiece. And 'Hearts Alive' is the coolest song to learn on guitar. Those intro riffs are so sumptuous!

Seabeast from 3:30 until the end is pure metal greatness. I have been listening to that riff since last year and I never seem to get tired of it.

Just got this, i just realized that the some of the artwork may be taken from Indonesian traditional puppets, called "Wayang", interesting, eh??

Indeed they are. I have a bunch of "Wayang" as house decorations.

A classic. need I say more? Yes.

This is the first Mastodon album I heard and it blew me away. I've been listening to this album for more than a year now and I still not bored of it.

I recently(yesterday) started listening to Remission and it's good, but not enough AMAZINGLY GOOD songs. Leviathan doesn't have a bad song(except for Island. That's the weak link on the album), where as Remission has the odd boring one. I love this album. Hearts Alive being my favorite and Seabeast following HA.

Great album.

Great Review.

Great Band.

A big 123 to that.

a psychotic mind trip of metal...i like their style...and they are tremendous performers...actually better live than on disc...nobody else is doing anything like this right now...with that "math metal" thing creeping in every now and then in their riffs...very uniqe

Good album, but I bought Dragonforce's album Inhuman Rampage and that kills this record.

I finally bought this, and i like it alot. Brann Dailor needs to use his toms more though. There should be more solos to.

Brann Dailor > Chris Adler

This is so true it hurts.

Chris Adler use more of his set. Brann Dailor seems obsessed with his snare drum, and Chris has faster feet. IMO Chris Adler > Brann Dailor

I like them both though.

Brann Dailor = more style and distinct playing

Brann Dailor > Chris Adler

Plus, he's in a better band.
