I never listened to Spock's Beard much but what I have heard from them didn't grab me. That was years ago though, even before I joined sputnik I think.
Iconoclast is underrated by most of the SymX fans here in my opinion. They really nailed the m/ sound in my opinion. Most prog metal bands can't really do that.

The Neal Morse-led Spock's Beard put out some great stuff. Definitely check out V and Snow. I haven't heard much of their recent work.
Iconoclast was good, but there are pure metal bands that do the m/ sound much better. They just threw away the thing the excelled at for something they're only good at. That's what's upsetting.

well i mean i don't really listen to much metal in general and especially not power metal so yeah i know my opinion on a power metal album is probably going to be questionable
