It's a hard decision. This album is better written, but that second disc makes it hard to call.

Love both tgs and wake/lift as much, depends of the mood (maybe tgs a bit more but this one has by far the best closer). psyched for the upcoming one track Ep.

Well, it's in the range of 4-4.5. I never really listen to much Rosetta when I have Amenra, Neurosis, Isis, and Cult of Luna around.

I really enjoy post-metal though. However, the genre doesn't have a HUGE offering compared to most others. Plus, I do have to admit a lot of post-metal is really long. I have no problem with long albums but sometimes it can be overwhelming.

Yeah, too many bands in this genre just try and sound like Neurosis or Isis without adding anything really interesting.

alot of subgenres the bands sound the same though. thats why they are in the same genre. unless you're talking experimental rock or avant-garde or whatever that is meant to be different.

what Ive noticed is when I dont like a genre, Ill think it all sounds the same. but if I do like a genre I dont care cuz I like the sound.

i mean i dont know why people listen to so much hardcore cuz most of that shit sounds exactly the same and is dull as fuck to me, but to each their own and all that.
