What am I not getting about this album? It feels a bit all over the place. The vocal performances are very hit and miss.

I agree, it is not consistent at all. The highlights are great, but it also drags a lot. The ones that followed are stronger (up until "Where Did The Night Fall" for sure, I've lost contact with the project afterwards).
