Just listened to the myspace tracks... ehhhh... the clean vocals kill this completely.

Tapestry is a mess (but I still kinda like it), Icicles is okay, Forget Not is amazing. If they can write/structure their songs more like that, their album might be pretty damn good.

This impressed me, the clean vocals weren't that bad, they were tolerable. Songs declined in quality I thought. I look forward to their future albums.

It's only a demo. I can't wait for a debut.

I played a gig with this band a few weeks ago. I was simply blown away by them, the best metal band in Australia for me. They played all of The Aurora Veil as well as a new song, which was even better than the demo material. Talking with the band after the show/the next day, a debut album is almost guaranteed for 2009.

Australia is a very underrated, metal band-producing beast of a country. A lot of the bands that come out of there go unnoticed much too often.

we're not a metal superpower, but i think there is a nice collection of bands established and coming through now that are of really high quality. be'lakor, neath, contrive, eyefear, alchemist, these guys.
there's certainly a few to be proud of

Almost exactly a year later and I've finally checked this out. Good call on this, Balls. The music is pretty good (maybe a little too unfocused in places) and most the vocals are good, but I do agree that some of the clean singing is just bad. This Message Edited On 01.23.09

They definitly have the potential to become on of the better metal bands Australia has produced. I should have known about these guys earlier though, given they're from Melbourne.

I really like them. Another Australian band I've recently got into is Antonamasia. They sound like Eyes Set to Kill, but with infintely better musicianship, songwriting and they're heavier too.

No, but I think you'd be one of the people that would like the band Anacrusis and all of their albums are free now. So, check the news article on the main page and there's link to where you can DL them for free until this album comes out ;)

Did Willie just take a totally unrelated question and whore some random band that doesn't even exist anymore??? Yes, yes he did...

Cool, hopefully you like them. Start with Screams&Whispers and work backwards.

Regarding the vocals, the singer had classical training so maybe he knows what he's doing with the notes Anyway, to each his own, I think this demo is purely awesome.
