I must say, it's really an honour to be hated by so many. I've never gotten so many death-threats in my life. Then, suddenly, I say an album is "average", and suddenly I'm Public Enemy #1.



Whatevz. I gave my reasons. If you don't like the review, I understand. But don't call it an attention whore review, because this is my honest opinion, and I felt I backed it up.

After finally reading this hype machine of a review, I must say it feels like an attention-whore affair. I mean, I don't really like TMV outside of Frances, and even I thought you were just digging for things and hence being repetitive.

When I made the "tear this album a new asshole" comment, I was still in the process of writing a first draft review. After many re-writes, and some tough thinking, I decided I was being too harsh on the album and changed my rating to a 2.5.



That's the story behind that. Now can we just drop the whole "He's an attention whore" deal? I wrote the review to give a different opinion of an album. With both of the other review being 4.5s, I figured I might as well represent those who don't like the album.



I submitted this review because I enjoy writing. Not because I want to become noticed for disliking a band. Honestly, who the hell submits a review for attention? Are you serious? What has this review done for me positively? Thanks to all the neg's, my approval rating is down, my integrity is in question, and the commenter above me wants me to choke and die.



You know what? I'm just fed up with all this crap. I've tried to be fairly calm about all of this, but when my integrity as a writer and as a person is called into question, I get pretty pissed. I'm tired of the attacks on my character. I'm tired of those who read one sentence of my review (namely the "hate TMV" part, which I LATER CONTRADICT IN THE NEXT SENTENCE) and say I'm a hypocrite with my rating.



I know why I submitted my review, and I'm sick of trying to justify it to everyone. That's it. End of rant.
